The aims of the Network are as follows: To act as the primary source of information and a single point of contact for anyone with an interest in knowing about stem cell activity in the East of England To facilitate collaboration between all those with an interest in stem cell research in the East of England and beyond. This includes scientific and medical researchers, clinicians, funders, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, ethicists, lawyers, venture capitalists, regulatory bodies, policy makers, industry groups and other relevant networks. To address the social, regulatory and legal implications of stem cell technology and provide relevant perspectives for those undertaking research in this field To work with other partner organisations to promote the importance and need for stem cell research, both within the East of England and at a national and international level To develop and contribute to an environment that encourages stem cell research and new investment in this region
