EMBO Workshop on Beta Cell Differentiation and Regeneration, Peebles, Scotland, UK, 26 February-1 March 2009The European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) is holding a workshop on Beta Cell Differentiation and Regeneration from 26 February to 1 March 2009 in Peebles, Scotland. The specific purpose of the workshop is to bring together both established and young investigators from diverse fields with a common interest in islet organogenesis, islet stem cells, islet regeneration and islet survival. The importance of the workshop is that the knowledge gained may contribute to a better understanding of the beta cell defects that are associated with diabetes mellitus.
